Effect of Mouthwashes and Brushing Simulation on the Surface Roughness of a Bulk Filled Composite Resin - An in vitro Study

 Materials Methods: present was an vitro conducted university dental hospital located Chennai. fill (ivoclar vivadent brand) manipulated into putty moulds. specimens were divided two groups, group 1 2. Two selected namely chlorhexidine gluconate betadine 2%. Group subjected immersion 2 betadine. Each specimen toothbrushing soft toothbrush. underwent 1000 cycles after which analysis performed. Toothbrush simulator ZM 3.8 stylus profilometer (Mitutoyo SJ-310) used. For statistical analysis, independent sample t test using SPSS statistics version 22.0 done.
 Results: mean value Ra 0.030 p 0.000. 0.0239 0.0215 respectively found out be 0.134. 0.0030 0.0035 0.033. There no significant changes between groups simulation.
 Conclusion: Within limitations study, we that samples immersed povidone iodine mouthwash had similar simulation.
